Young professionals

UNiTED is really interested in working with young professionals in the field of development studies, project management, international public health or any other relevant education. As a young professional you can apply for the position of Project Manager. UNiTED’s projects are divided over several branches and each branch falls under the supervision of a Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible to meet the stated project objectives. He / she directly oversees the day-to-day operations of UNiTED’s various projects and assures that the steps of the project cycle are followed. He / she is responsible for providing supervision and support to the volunteers and interns that work on the project(s). This means among others that they provide project related materials, organize and supervise fieldwork, and provide feedback when needed.

The Project Manager keeps records of the projects’ progress and needs. This information is used for our quarterly updates. The UNiTED management team meets regularly with the Program Coordinator to update him / her on project development. The Project Manager gives volunteers and interns an introduction specific to their project(s) and translates the needs of the project stakeholders to the volunteers and interns. He / she also answers all project content related questions and is available for questions/problems related to volunteer or internship placements. The Project Manager is a professional with at least an international internship in a related profession and field.

Currently we cannot offer a salary to our staff, however we do offer the opportunity to gain a lot of work experience. After a successful three-month trial period we can offer room and board. We take care of the in-country visa renewal costs, transport costs to projects sites and project materials. We accept applications all year round. If you are interested please e-mail your motivation letter to info@unitedprojects.org and most resent resume with at least two references. Both documents should be written in English and attached to your e-mail in Word or PDF. Once received we will contact you to explain the next steps. We are looking forward to receive your application!
